The West Virginia Coal Miners' Political Action Committee of the United Mine Workers of America has endorsed 91 candidates, mostly Democrats, for state and federal legislative offices in the May 14 primary.
The lone Republican to get the union's endorsement is Bill Hamilton, who is running for the 39th District House of Delegates seat from Upshur County.
For Congress, the committee endorsed:
Incumbents Jay Rockefeller for Senate, Alan Mollohan for the House of Representatives from the 1st District and Nick Rahall for the House from the 3rd District, and Jim Humphreys in the 2nd District.
In races for the state Senate, the union endorsed:
Ed Bowman in the 1st District, Larry Edgell in the 2nd, Jim Ball in the 3rd, Marie Redd in the 5th,...
