ITcould have been Bleak House set in Argyll.
But the estate which divided three brothers for 10 years and led them repeatedly to the Court of Session has finally been sold to a third party. The new owner will sell on some of the estate's assets almost immediately.
The 1050-acre Ardpatrick Estate, at Knapdale and overlooking West Loch Tarbert, has been bought by Caledonian Trust, the Edinburgh- based property company, in a deal worth more than GBP2.5m.
