THEY have one of the best soaring sites in the UK, but now members of the Yorkshire Gliding Club can train on the ground when weather conditions are bad.
The club, which flies from the top of Sutton Bank above the White Horse on the western edge of the North York Moors, has become one of the first in the country to build a flight simulator.
Members have worked through the winter and invested Pounds 17,000 to create the simulator, which uses a commercial software package designed by Norwegian enthusiasts.
