HE may only just have become a teenager but one Yorkshire school pupil is already following in the footsteps of former Prime Ministers, award-winning scientists and one of the most famous names in 20th century literature.
Aysgarth pupil Toby Tricks, 13, has written himself into the school's history books by becoming the first student to receive a prestigious King's Scholarship to study at Eton College for more than 120 years.
Eton College awards just 14 of the scholarships each year, and Toby earned his place by finishing sixth in a roll of 120 candidates in the entrance tests at the historic school.
His King's Scholarship exams lasted three days and included question papers on English, maths, Latin, French, Greek, divinity, science and geography.
He becomes only the third pupil from Yorkshire to receive a King's Scholarship in 15 years while Aysgarth School, near Bedale, last saw pupils receive the award in 1887 when it was given to three boys.
Former King's Scholars include former Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, writers George Orwell and Aldous Huxley and the economist John Maynard Keynes.
