FLASHY Jason Barlow loves fast cars, but the 29-year-old admits that he's not in the market for loose women.
Although he is one of the co-presenters of Channel 4's top car show Driven, unlike some other speedsters there's only one woman in his life - his 28-year-old fiancee Andrea.
"We met at journalism college in Cardiff and have been an item ever since," he said. "Andrea's from Hertfordshire and we're going to get married the week before Easter this year.
"I think she likes me because of my accent. Andrea likes Northern Irish men a lot. She used to have a huge crush on Neil Hannon from the Divine Comedy and recently she's been dreaming about James Nesbitt."
But Jason admitted he used his Northern Irish charm to his full potential when he was at university.
"I was absolutely rubbish at getting girls when I was at school but when I moved away a lot of girls used to tell me my accent was fantastic.
"But I suppose with the successes of people like James Nesbitt, Eddie Irvine and to a lesser extent Neil Hannon, it hasn't been a bad year for Northern Irish people and I'm quite pleased about that.
"But Eddie Irvine - my God - I've met him about six times and I found him extremely arrogant."
Jason was brought up not a million miles away from Eddie Irvine's Clonlig home, but although the two share the same passion for fast cars they are poles apart as far as personality and charm go.
"I was born in Newtownards but I grew up in Bangor," he said. "I only have one sibling, my sister Kelly who is in Australia at the minute.
"My mum and dad Syd and Shirley still live in the Newtownards area. But I've been living in England for about ten years and I probably know California and America better than Ireland because I've spent more time there.
"I'm hoping to rectify that in the future, though."
Jason thinks he inherited his love of cars from his father.
"My mum has never been interested in cars but my dad is. He took me to Kirkiston racetrack when I was a kid. He's a huge fan of Formula One and...
