SEE Brisbane at its best with Althea Hurwood rediscovering her home town with some spectacular photographs taken within 5km of her Highgate Hill home. Hurwood's work shows the juxtaposition of old and new CBD architecture as well as new buildings along Eagle St. A wet afternoon in Grey St, South Brisbane, is also captured. An inspiration for Hurwood are the many buildings designed by her father, architect Tom Cross.

WHY not get into the spirit of the Bledisloe Cup build-up by taking advantage of the rare opportunity to catch a close look before the rugby union match between Australia and New Zealand at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night. This famous cup was first contested in 1931 when the then governor-general of New Zealand, Lord Bledisloe, presented the cup as a perpetual rugby trophy and a token of goodwill between Australia and New Zealand. The Bledisloe Cup trophy will be on display at the Queen Street Mall stage and you can have your photograph taken with it.
