The Roos are in good hands with Allen Aylett back, writes Peter Krupka
FORMER North Melbourne champion footballer and president Allen Aylett returned to the leadership of the Kangaroos yesterday with a mission -- to save the cash-strapped and supporter-deprived club from extinction.
And he also promised there would be no merger or relocation of his beloved Kangaroos.
Although he would not elaborate on his plans for the future, he did promise more of the same innovative leadership he showed from 1971 to 77, when the club rose from a perennial VFL cellar dweller to become a league power, culminating in the 1975 and 77 premierships under legendary coach Ron Barassi.
