On Jan. 3, Paula Mack Drill will find herself on the television screen again.
The West Caldwell resident is one of 13 people being profiled in a documentary called Faith First: Second Career Clergy, which will air on ABC-TV on Thursday, Jan. 3.
For Drill, this is kind of old hat. She has been featured in three previous documentaries about Jewish topics, documentaries produced by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in New York City.
"Sometimes you wish your sound byte was different," she says. "You only get one shot, literally, and it's preserved on camera."
Drill says most of the time she was able to "block out the cameras and just talk to the producer."
The camera crew followed Drill around as she attended classes at JTS, where she is a rabbinical student in her fourth year of study. They also filmed her at home. In one scene, she rolls matza balls with her four children ages five to 13.
