Potomac Offering Tours
FDR's famed Potomac - the restored presidential yacht with a colorful, checkered legacy - is now offering two-hour history tours on San Francisco Bay.
From its berth at Jack London Square in Oakland, the former personal pleasure craft of New Deal president Franklin Delano Roosevelt departs at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays and second and fourth Saturdays of each month, says Potomac Association spokeswoman Susan Kneller. The tours, which continue through October, visit attractions along the San Francisco waterfront and Treasure Island.
