The Apollo Theater Hosts BET Fall 2000 Season With An Elaborate Inside - Out Taping And Lavish Block Party
On Saturday evening September 9th Harlem's world famous Apollo Theater hosted one of the most exciting events to happen at the venue in quite some time.
The event which I'm referring to is the re-location of Black Entertainment Television (BET), from its long show-based home in Washington, D.C. into the Village of Harlem, U.S.A., where the popular African American own and operated entertainment company will be taking up residence at it's new location at 106th Street and Park Avenue.
At its new venue, millions of viewers of the popular BET station will be privy to the biggest stars and their hottest videos and audiences will have the opportunity to log on and choose the day's Top 10 videos, send e-mail and chat online with the show titled "106 & Park: Live From New York" hosts Free and AJ.
To celebrate the move to its new Harlem Studios, BET threw an elaborate star-studded lavish Block Party and television tapings inside the historic 125th street...
