African American Design Archive Established at Cooper-Hewitt.
Cooper-Hewitt, National Museum of Design, Smithsonian Institution is devoted solely to the study of design and decorative arts of both historic and contemporary significance. As a part of the museum's ongoing program of collection, documentation and interpretation of design, Cooper-Hewitt has launched an ambitious program to create a research archive of contemporary African American design and designers.
