Ralph W. "Petey" Green, 52, a beloved Washington television and radio personality and long-time community activist, died of cancer at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10 at Doctor's Hospital in Prince George's County.
"Petey", as he was known by his friends and admirers throughout the Washington region, was born in Washington, D.C. on January 23, 1931. Over the years. Petey spoke proudly of his childhood in Foggy Bottom, a once predominately Black neighborhood now called Georgetown, where he grew up.
