STRONG attendance and brisk sales at Village Roadshow's Gold Coast theme parks have prompted the company to lift its earnings forecast for the 2007 financial year.
The cinema and theme park operator has raised its underlying earnings guidance for 2006-07 by $11 million, expecting a net profit of $52 million for the year, up from the $41 million earlier indicated.
Village, which this week bought out Amalgamated Holdings' 50 per cent stake in Roadshow Distributors for $129.4 million, said the upgrade followed a stronger-than-expected final quarter's trading.
