Harlem launches National Sports & Entertainment Hall of Fame
Harlem has taken another giant leap forward in its efforts to reclaim its old glory with the recent formal launching in the community of a National Sports & Entertainment Hall of Fame.
The occasion was marked with a gala induction ceremony at the Aaron Davis Hall on the campus of City College of New York attended by an array of distinguished personalities.
Among this year's inductees included legendary boxing champion Muhammed Ali, Joyner-Kersee, Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, Arthur Ashe, "Suger" Ray Robinson, Wilma Rudolph, Hal Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Tony Bennett, Tito Puente and Frank Sinatra.
