Chester Higgins Jr. Workman at Demolition Site Is Killed by Steel Beam as Wall Collapses Demolition workers mourn the death of a colleague, Julio Lopez, killed in an accident yesterday at 52 Wall Street, between Pearl and William Streets. A 50-foot-long steel beam, weighing about a ton, struck Mr. Lopez when a wall collapsed unexpectedly. The accident was the first at the site since demolition began last summer.: [Caption]
