The current stars of the local sporting scene took their act back to Vancouver on Thursday night, skating in Game 7 - the deciding game - of another wildly improbably playoff series.
A win would put the Wild into the Stanley Cup semifinals, with Game 1 against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks set for Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Given the last couple of games, losing didn't seem like an option.
Win or lose, the Minnesota Wild had gone where few of their fans expected, and certainly fewer of hockey's experts.
Go back to October, when the Wild was finishing an undefeated schedule of preseason games, and look up what was being said about the team.
