CHENNAI: Gabor Gombos may have been living in India for the past six months, but still finds crossing the road a huge challenge. "I think you have to be born here to cross one easily. If I have to cross the road alone, it takes me about half an hour to empower myself to do it," says the advocate for the rights of persons with mental disabilities.
'Empower' is a word that Gombos, who has been involved in self-advocacy movements in Europe, uses often.
