With easy access to Washington's internationally known museums such as the National Gallery of Art, the Corcoran Gallery and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, there would seem little reason for resident lovers of art to head 40 miles north to Baltimore for a creative fix.
In fact, there are two great reasons for a 2010 visit: the Contemporary Museum and the American Museum of Visionary Art -- both novel and forward moving.
