Multilevel regression modeling has become a hot topic in the social sciences recently, and this textbook provides a very convenient introduction to this important eld. While stochastic regression coefcients have been around for quite a while, the peculiar way of introducing randomness into regression coefcients which is effected by multilevel models has proven to be both statistically convenient and empirically promising in various applications (many of them featuring prominently in this book).
