It seems the honor of being the largest container ship to call on Charleston ports is a fleeting one.
Just two weeks after the MSC Bruxelles claimed the title July 20, a ship is due to arrive Wednesday at Wando Terminal that's just as big but can carry more containers. It's a tie, or a new high-water mark, depending on how "largest" is measured.
"Records continue to fall," said Bryon Miller, spokesman for the State Ports Authority. "The ships are getting bigger, and that's being demonstrated every day."
