VIP pass promotions pushed more than 1 million extra people through Gold Coast theme parks in 12 months, but the numbers did not translate into boom profits.
Village Roadshow - which owns Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet'n'Wild Water World, Paradise Country, Australian Outback Spectacular, Warner Roadshow Studios and Sea World Resort - yesterday reported a rise in attendance of 436,000 for the 2011 financial year. The company's profit for the theme park division dropped $10 million from the year before, however.
