ERITREAN duo Samuel Tesfagabr and Ambes Yosief began their dream-come-true journey to the world of professional football yesterday, taking part in their first training session with Gold Coast United at Carrara.
Granted refugee status by the Australian Government last year, the pair caught the eye of United coach Miron Bleiberg playing for Western Strikers in the South Australian Super League.
Offered trials last month, the international defenders did enough in matches against Rochedale and Nerang to secure one-year contracts with United.
