FOR MORE than three decades, David Mkefa puffed away on a packet of cigarettes a day.
He picked up the addictive habit in his early 20s. But 32 years later, a magazine article highlighting the early signs of cancer caught his attention.
First on the list was bronchitis, later followed by a hoarse voice - two symptoms he had.
In 2008 he was diagnosed with stage two larynx cancer, caused by long-term smoking.
