Abstract

The purpose of this grant proposal was to secure funding for the implementation of a Suicide Prevention Program for students at Santa Ana College, Santa Ana, California. The grant writer researched the suicide prevention topic to determine the target population and specific need, and to identify potential funding sources. The grant writer conducted a literature review to gain knowledge of the problem, factors contributing to the problem, cultural perspectives, and evidence-based suicide prevention programs. The grant writer targeted a specific funding source which was determined to be The Jacquelyn Bogue Foundation, Santa Ana, California. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of this project.
