Abstract
Present work deals with the development of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) anode using Graphene, Silver and Titanium dioxide (GrAgTiO2) nanocomposites. Graphene nanoparticles were synthesized by Hummer’s method. The structural, optical and electrical properties like conductivity, impedance and loss angle were analysed.Different graphene (Gr) percentages were mixed with TiO2Ag nanocomposites and the synthesized nanocomposite GrAgTiO2 was used as anode material, dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were fabricated using iodide electrolyte and platinum counter electrode. The optimum results were obtained for 2.5% graphene (Gr) and 3% silver (Ag) concentration. The inclusion of graphene and silver nanoparticles shows decrease in bandgap from 3.32 eV to 2.15 eV, and the efficiency of DSSCs were improved from 4.45% to 9.86%
