Abstract
Nuclear disaster always happens accompanied with the release of nuclear power, which may lead to catastrophe to the environment and human’s life. Due to the strong radiation of the nuclear reactor, we can’t soon detect or control the process of the process of release or dispersion, thus, a distant prediction and monitoring is required for us to have better control on the nuclear reactor.
In order to achieve the purpose, we need to obtain the gas concentration of the dispersion source by measuring the gas concentration of a city which has a distance beyond the dispersion source, and estimate the gas concentration of the dispersion source.
Also, in this study, I will build the Gaussian Plume Dispersion Model based on the Plume Atmospheric Dispersion Model, and estimate the concentration of the gas by implementing Particle Filtering Algorithm. After building the entire model, the simulation based on platform of MATLAB 2016a were run to study and monitor the states of the gas dispersion.
