Abstract
This research examines the contents of Islamic Education values in the texts of Tembang Macapat. Since the alim ulama, Wali Songo, Juru Dakwah, Kiai, ustaz, the educators, the men of letters, even the intellectuals, and also the experts of Javanese culture, especially since the middle era (The Demak Kingdom Era) until now often put many religious lessons and life in general as well as special education written and conveyed through "tembang -tembang macapat" that are important part of Javanese Culture. Because of the difficulty in understanding those "tembang macapat", until now there are only few education books that refer to the alim ulama's or the previous Nusantara (archipelago) intelligent people that are conveyed through “tembang macapat". By re-examining the Islamic Education values in "tembang macapat", we canuse them as the reference to develop the national cultural values as thefoundation of developing education today or in the future. So, the education that is developed by the founders cannot be separated from those cultural values used as the foundation in which the perpetuity is already examined for ages.

Fokus utama dari penelitian ini ialah mengkaji konten nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam dalam teks Tembang Macapat. Karena, alim ulama, wali songo, juru dakwah, kiai, ustaz, pendidik, sastrawan, bahkan para intelek dan juga para ahli budaya Jawa –khususnya sejak pertengahan era (era Kerajaan Demak) hingga sekarang- sering menyampaikan pelajaran agama, kehidupan, begitu juga pendidikan khusus lainnya melalui tulisan dan disampaikan melalui ‘tembang-tembang macapat’ yang dianggap bagian penting dalam budaya Jawa. Karena kesulitan dalam memahami tembang macapat tersebut, hingga sekarang hanya ada sedikit buku-buku pendidikan yang mengulas cara mendidik melalui tembang macapat yang dipraktikkan oleh alim ulama dan orang-orang intelek di Nusantara. Dengan mengkaji ulang nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam melalui tembang macapat, kita bisa menggunakannya sebagai referensi untuk mengembangkas nilai budaya nasional sebagai dasar perkembangan pendidikan saat ini dan juga di masa depan. Jadi, pendidikan yang telah dikembangkan oleh para pendiri tidak dapat dipisahkan dari nilai-nilai budaya yang digunakan sebagai dasar yang telah ada selama bertahun-tahun.
